Baseball with Matt Talks Roberto Clemente

If you follow More Than a Fan enough to hang out with me on twitter, you know by now that I try very hard to show my gratitude for the life I live by getting involved in charities and fundraisers. It turns out that special More Than a Fan contributor and publisher of Baseball with Matt Matt Nadel thinks that charity and giving back is the right way to live, too.

Matt may only be 13 years old, but his baseball knowledge isn’t all that he offers his readers. Here’s an excerpt of his latest column, check him out and let him know that More Than a Fan sent you!

Hey baseball fans!

Today’s post is about a very special ballplayer. This person is one of the most inspirational, famous, and well-liked baseball players of all time. He is in the Hall of Fame and has an award in the MLB named after him that is given every year to the most charitable player on and off the field (it was recently awarded to Dodgers pitching ace Clayton Kershaw). I think you all know who this person is: Roberto Clemente

P.S. — I just got an update from Matt. He has increased his World Series winners/trivia knowledge base from 1920 to the present to all of the World Series of all time. It seems that just being a genius isn’t enough, he’s got to be perfect. Someone remind me to change his bio.
